The children in our home (our own and visiting) love this book! Of all the books I read at story time, they told me this was favorite. However, it's not nearly as fantastic as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Franklin's Friendship Treasury
Since Laurel (then 9) has been enjoying hearing the Franklin stories so much, I got another in the series, Franklin's Friendship Treasury. As soon as the girls saw this book they wanted to hear all 4 stories right away. Part of me finds these stories boring, but I must admit I really love how the parents talk to thier kids. Franklin is a good role model, even if he doesn't always do the right thing, he makes it right in the end.

This is a wonderful book for explaining the spiritual belief that we are all one, that there is light (and goodness) in all, and that all the answers are within us. It's one of those books that I choose to read to our children a few times a year. Each page has an amazing picture, and just a few lines of text, so that even the smallest children stay engaged.
